Anne Stephenson – Principal

Anne Stephenson is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners – the professional body for trust and estate practitioners worldwide), the Probate Committee of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, the Probate Administration and Trusts Committee of the Law Society of Ireland, and the Probate Liaison Committee (made up of representatives of the profession and of the Court Service involved with the Probate process). Anne has practised and taught law for more than 25 years.

Anne is a member of the associate faculty and external examiner at the Law School at the Law Society of Ireland for trainee solicitors. She lectures and examines on the STEP Diploma in Wills Trust & Estate Planning, and on the Law Society's Continuing Legal Education Courses, and to the DSBA and numerous other professional bodies. 

Anne is a co-founder and vice president of Solicitors for the Elderly Ireland.

Anne is a co-author of the following Oxford University Press books

  • Wills, Probate and Estates
  • Conveyancing
  • Capital Taxation For Solicitors

She also contributes to the Law Society Gazette, the Parchment, and the Irish Tax Review.

Anne leads the successful bi-annual Stephenson Solicitors' Seminar series which is in its 14th year, and regularly attracts large numbers of professional and institutional attendees to consider issues of interest in the field of Wills, Trusts, Capital Taxes, and Estate Law and Practice.  She has also been an invited speaker at various professional conventions (for example addressing the medical professions on mental capacity). Anne is also a member of DSBA Mental Health Committee

In her practice, Anne has been retained by major financial institutions, private clients, and other professional legal and financial firms both within Ireland and overseas to provide advice and services in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Capital Taxes, Estate Planning, Probate, and the Administration of Estates.

 

 

Úna Burns - Partner

Úna Burns, Solicitor, is a graduate of the National University Ireland, Galway where she earned her primary Degree and a Masters in law. She worked in General Practice before joining Stephenson Solicitors in 2010 to specialise in the area of Wills, Trust, Probate, Tax and Estate Planning. She is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.

Úna is a regular speaker at Stephenson Solicitors' Probate, Trust and Tax seminars which are bi-annual events. She also speaks to other professional bodies including a Dublin-based over 50s Social Club on the subject of Enduring Powers of Attorney and has also spoken on that topic to a support group for parents of children with disability organised by the Health Service Executive of Ireland.

In addition, Úna has published articles in the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association Parchment magazine and assisted Anne Stephenson in the preparation of the Probate Precedents for Irish Conveyancing Precedents.

She is an committee member of Solicitors for the Elderly and a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners – the professional body for trust and estate practitioners worldwide).

 

 

Laura Delaney - Solicitor

Laura Delaney is a graduate of the National University Ireland, Galway where she earned her Bachelor of Civil Law Degree. She worked in General Practice for a number of years before joining Stephenson Solicitors to specialise in the area of Wills, Probate, Tax and Estate Planning, where she completed her solicitor traineeship. Laura qualified as a solicitor in January, 2014. She worked with a commercial firm shortly after qualification from January 2015 to June 2016 when she returned to Stephenson Solicitors. She is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and has completed the STEP Diploma course.

 

 

Eleanor Lindsay - Solicitor

Eleanor Lindsay is a Graduate of University College Dublin where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Politics.  Eleanor qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and worked in a general practice in Dublin prior to joining Stephenson Solicitors in 2014. 

Eleanor is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners– the professional body for trust and estate practitioners worldwide) and a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, Ireland.
